After reading the “The Lucky One” by Nicholas Sparks, I had
a notion of blogging my Bohol and Cebu tour since I am also waiting for the
never ending downloading of adobe CS5 and the photos of my recent activity at
Midway with my best of friends. Anyway, I’ll blog about it. First thing first! After
all those standing in the never ending line at the finance and window 12, if I’m
not mistaken, I packed my things in confusion to what dresses, jeans, t-shirts,
shoes, sandals, books and other things to bring. I ended up posting at my
facebook account as my status that I wanna bring our cabinet. Anyhow, after
being confused and with all those sweat and the pressure since my Mother keeps
on telling me that I have no more time left packing all of my things, I ended
up with 5 dresses, 2 pairs of sleeping
outfits and a jean. I was a bit pissed off because my Mother told me why
I brought few dresses when will be going to Cebu. I really can’t understand her
when in fact before I decided to just bring those number of dresses, I have
decided to bring 7 with me and 4 jeans then she scolded me. What on earth she’s
trying to tell me? Nevertheless, I go with my second choice. So here’s the
story behind my reunited with Guzman family; I know this won’t take long since
all I want to do is post some photo’s and explain so readers won’t get bored. I
am fascinated with our little island in Bohol. Although the travel takes hours,
sweats and pain, it’s all worth it seeing all of my Bol-anon cousins once more.
From Cagayan de Oro to Tagbilaran port, it takes 8-9 hours travel by boat (it
depends whether the boat you’re riding is new or old. The older the boat, the
longer the travel would take.) We usually end up in Jagna port but I don’t know
what happened with the CDO-Jagna route. The agencies just said that trips to
Jagna were suspended except for the Ocean Jet Ship. Anyway, from Tagbilaran to
Ubay, it takes 6-7 hours of travel, or maybe 8 if you take the bus but if it’s
a van, it’s only about less than 6 hours. But that does not end the trip. From Ubay
to Union (it’s a small port going to our small island) will take less than 30
minutes riding a motorcycle or motorela. I guess you will laugh at their rela’s.
It’s really different and it is uneasy since it’s just like a side car only
with a roof on it but still it’s useless when it rains since passengers get wet
and the chair itself isn’t as soft as the rela’s back in CDO. It made our
travel more miserable due to our luggage and I meant the big and countless ones.
From Union to the island, it takes less than 20 minutes to arrive at the Popoo,
Garcia port by a pump boat. And again, it so hard carrying our luggage to the
pump boat and then carrying it again when we arrive. And the most thrilling
part is when we ride a habalhabal (it’s
a big old fashioned motorcycle) since it will be the last ride at last going to
our Lolo’s old fashioned antique house. Complain all we want but those
miserable trips just automatically being erased and rejected by our hearts
whenever we see our Lolo once more with his teary eye.
Here are just some pictures i grabbed from my cousin Aprilyn Guzman since I didn't bring camera for the trip and I know that is one of my biggest mistake, ever for a vain person like me!
Haggard faces, i know.
At Mama Nena's place.. She's the older sister of my Mom.
My cousin's big big day and Raeka is one of his flower girls. I bet you can't imagine how did Raeka handled the flower girl role at her age. Just can't wait for the video. As soon as the official video is released, I'll post the red carpet walk of Raeka. She's dazzling and amazing. At the age of one, she knew how to handle the flower girl role. And I was there, I have not taken shot, not a single photo of her since I was in a bit pressure, following her beside the aisle, afraid that she might stop at the middle and look for me or for Mommy or Daddy but it all turned out better.
Party after the wedding and oh yez, this is indeed what I need the most, to be with my cousins dancing and partying. Of course, that's just a peach novellino wine. Girls are just having FU-UUUUN!
Oh here she is. Our little girl has grown up, not that too old but time runs fast. I know she's intelligent THAN ME! I know I'm smart but I'm lazy but this girl, she's willing to learn and she learns fast. I know I'm over confident but I'm just telling the truth. Everybody's smart and nobody's dumb. It's the attitude that a person gets dumb! Right?
This was taken during my thanksgiving part 2. Oh and that teary speech of mine that made my other Aunt's teary. That's it! That was the first time where I thanked my parents for their goodness despite of my dumbed attitude towards life in front of my cousins and Aunt and it made me cry to death. I uttered words, the same words again and again. I was not prepared. It was impromptu. I hate impromptu's. Even in class during recitation's, I came prepared with the thoughts before I raise my hand. I have despised impromptu speeches since high school but this time I need to do it. I just laughed remembering the words I uttered with those tears rolling down my cheeks. Anyhow, I have touched my Aunt's hearts, that's all because I made them cry from my 8-10 sentences speech LOL.
PS. Sorry for the rambled pictures. I am too lazy to arrange it. I think you can understand the sequence nyahaha :]] I know you're intelligent. What a lame excuse for the laziness I have. I know~ Just bare with me. I got too damn bored with the slow internet connection friends. Please bear with me. This will not happen again, promise.
