“WOOHOO!” My batch mates hollered throughout the processional ceremony on the 24th of March. I was then anxious for them since evaluators might haul over the coals towards them but deep inside myself I also wanted to shout because of cheerfulness. I just gave my biggest grin to the people whom I passed by. Walking on the red carpet, feeling the warmth salutation from the proud parents and seeing the bliss in the faces of my co-graduates, I found myself in the vagueness, imagining what my life is after this day. I was laughing all by myself like a crazy woman does. I imagined myself wearing that business garments from my work and am ready for my class in the afternoon. I imagined myself buying kikay stuffs for Raeka, paying her education and of course merrymaking once for a while from my own pocket. I imagined myself driving in my red millennium bug (my favourite car ever). I imagined myself holding my own debit and credit cards. I imagined myself as a successful Lawyer then suddenly I already arrived at my seat. I turned around smiling while looking for my parents at the upper box of the Xavier University gym then I saw my Papa waiving at me smiling and my Mama clapped her hands while looking at me. I was so very happy that alas at this moment I did not fail Papa. I graduated on time, as scheduled even if I shifted from other course. I graduated as a dean’s lister and not to mention, my Papa is so proud of it that he even announced it to the clan. I graduated at the age of 19 without failing marks. Even though I have some compunctions in life like I should have been a consistent dean’s lister if I have just studied well but it was just a little regret in life. Through the compliments of my professors lessened the regrets in my life. Through recalling my achievements since high school, it lessened my timidity and jealousy of those students who received awards. At last, I have graduated with my first course and I am ready to evade the Law school, so help me God. Here are some photos from my camera during the baccalaureate mass and the 73rd commencement exercise of my alma mater.
